President

Amira Menoufy This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is serving her fifth year on the board as President. Amira’s mission is to serve members’ needs, and encourage the active involvement of all AMASV members, board of directors and volunteers.

Amira has been managing Marketing and PR for Delegata, a technology consulting and systems integration firm, since February 2002. Her responsibilities include corporate communications, branding, tradeshows, seminars, collateral, press releases, Web site, awards, public relations, presentations and community events. Prior to her move to Sacramento, she managed various sales development and marketing projects in the Bay Area at Lucent Technologies, BroadVision and Siebel Systems.

In her spare time, Amira enjoys working out, traveling, reading and planning events for her friends and family.

President-Elect

As Vice President and Marketing Director for American River Bankshares, the parent company of American River Bank, a community business bank serving the Greater Sacramento Area that operates a family of financial services providers, including North Coast Bank in Sonoma County and Bank of Amador in Amador County.

She is based out of the corporate headquarters in Rancho Cordova and is responsible for marketing, internal communications, public and investor relations. She leads strategic marketing initiatives at all divisions, including Web site lead generation, business acquisition campaigns, email marketing and sales support.

Past President

Allison Novak

After serving past roles of VP/Operations, President-Elect and President, Allison is responsible for aiding the President in all chapter initiatives.

Allison is the Western Region Analyst for Chattem, Inc., a Tennessee-based Consumer Products Company. Although Chattem Manufactures and markets roughly 26 brands, the major brands in Chattem’s portfolio include Icy Hot, Gold Bond, Selsun, Act Mouthwash, Cortizone-10 and Unisom. As an Analyst, Allison manages Nielsen data in order to support sales and marketing initiatives at such retailers as Safeway, Longs and Raley’s.

VP/Programming

She is responsible for finding marketing experts for the chapter's monthly luncheons, maintaining the chapter's reputation as the pre-eminent source in our region for personal and professional career development for marketers.

Joy Miller is the owner of Proforma Direct Effect in El Dorado Hills. Proforma is one of the largest providers of promotional products, company apparel, printing and multi-media in North America. She also serves on the Board of the North State Building Industry Association as Membership Chair and is active with SARTA. When not working, she is busy with her two young boys as a Cub Scouts Den Leader and chauffeuring them to their various sports activities.

When Joy has free time you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her husband, two young sons and Australian Sheppard usually hiking, camping or skiing.

VP/Membership

Jennifer PetersonServing on the AMASV Board of Directors for her fifth year, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is a senior account executive at Wallrich Landi Integrated Marketing Communications in Sacramento. Jennifer guides our membership recruitment and retention programs, while maintaining our AMASV database in conjunction with AMA International Headquarters in Chicago. She works closely with other board members to ensure AMASV member satisfaction.

Since 1990, Wallrich Landi has built a loyal clientele of business, government and non-profit organizations who value the firm's strategic approach and comprehensive in-house capabilities, spanning from message development through visual design and technical engineering. Project focus at Wallrich Landi includes branding, promotional literature, advertising, publications, Web sites and Web-based content management applications.

When she isn't overseeing projects at work, Jennifer can often be found running around McKinley Park or spending time with family and friends.

VP/Hospitality

In her role, she is responsible for coordinating the AMASV's monthly luncheon as well as all other mixers and special events. She will often be the first friendly face you see at our event registration desk greeting our members.

Laura has spent most of her career in Sales and Marketing. Over the last four years she has found a home at The Sacramento Bee as a Major Accounts Manager in the Advertising Division. She has successfully integrated her knowledge in the marketing field and consults with her clients in order to help them efficiently invest their advertising budgets in print, online etc. thus increasing their revenue and market share.

In her spare time Laura enjoys working out, going to music concerts, visiting family and spending time with friends.

VP/Publicity

Ray Young This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it coordinates publicity and media relations for AMASV, making sure that all AMASV news and marketing articles hit the wire in a timely and newsworthy manner.

Ray is Senior Vice-President of Halldin Public Relations, drawing on his wide-ranging public relations and issues management experience to assist clients in communicating often-complicated information clearly and effectively to the media.

He lends his communication consulting expertise to global corporations like Merrill Lynch, and government agencies as well as technology start-ups. Over the past decade, Ray has handled client affairs in myriad industries, including technology, agriculture, securities, law, energy, housing, healthcare and education. Prior to joining Halldin Public Relations, Ray served as Deputy Press Secretary to 2002 California Gubernatorial Nominee Bill Simon.

VP/Corporate Support

In this role she is responsible for cultivating corporate partnerships and affiliations. Her goal is to recruit, retain and develop mutually beneficial relationships with businesses and marketers in the Sacramento Valley for the enrichment of the chapter, its members and its partners.

Lauren currently holds a position within The Sacramento Bee's Advertising Department where her marketing skills are put to work on a daily basis. Lauren specializes in developing multi-media advertising campaigns to drive sales and awareness for her clients in the Arts and Entertainment industry. She has a natural business sense and loves to utilize the successful strategies and skills she has acquired through her work in the marketing field.

When Lauren is not working at the Bee she manages her own business as a jewelry consultant for Stella & Dot.

VP/Collegiate Relations

By working with students at local colleges and universities, it is Crystal's goal to help local collegiate chapter members transition into the professional chapter of the AMA. As a former president of the California State University Chico American Marketing Association, Crystal hopes to strengthen the bond between the collegiate and professional chapters.

Crystal is the Marketing Officer for Gold Country Bank, a five-branch community bank based in Marysville, CA. In her spare time, Crystal enjoys spending time with family and friends and being active with community organizations.

In his second year as VP of Finance on the Board of Directors for AMASV, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it is a Staff Associate with Gilbert Associates, a local accounting firm which specializes audit and tax work for non-profit organizations, governments, employee benefit plans, and privately-held businesses.

When Joseph isn’t performing audit work or financial oversight for the organization, he is spending time with his wife and his two beautiful daughters.

Alyssa is excited to be involved with the AMA again; in college she served on the Collegiate Board of Directors for Chico State AMA.

Alyssa is currently the Business Development Manager at Lionakis, an architectural and engineering firm. A firm with over 210 employees that has been in the Sacramento region for over 100 years, her responsibilities include managing client relationship, management systems, metrics, managing the interview process with clients and developing marketing plans and budgets.
