President
Erik Foss is now in his fifth year as an AMASV Board of Directors member. Erik's mission as chapter President this year is to engage the membership and surrounding community of marketers, motivate and support board members and volunteers in their activities, and lead the chapter to accomplish its mission and vision as identified by the board.
Erik is President of Foss Marketing Group, a strategic marketing and market research services firm delivering high-caliber solutions with superior customer service. Foss Marketing Group provides customer and employee satisfaction surveys, marketing strategy and media planning, e-marketing and e-media management (email marketing, paid search advertising, and search engine optimization), competitive intelligence, benchmarking for best practices, and advertising and collateral development. Erik is the proud father of two boys. In his free time, Erik plays in an adult coed softball league and keeps his rock voice in shape for his eventual musical comeback.

President Elect
Allison Johnson returns to the Board in her second year as President Elect, assisting the President in his many duties serving the board and our members, and shadowing for what her role will be next year.
As Sales Analyst for the Western Region Chattem, Inc., a Tennessee based consumer packaged goods company specializing in personal care products, Allison and her team manage accounts for such organizations as Safeway, Longs Drugs and Raley's. Although Chattem produces and manages roughly 26 brands, the major brands in their portfolio include Icy Hot, Gold Bond, Selsun, Dexatrim, Act Mouthwash, Cortizone-10 and Unisom.

VP/Programs
Robert Welton recently joined the AMASV board filling the role of VP of Programs, coordinating speakers for upcoming events and luncheons. Bob encourages feedback and recommendations to keep topics timely and speakers motivating.
As a senior Member Services Executive for the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, the largest chamber of commerce in Northern California, Bob focuses on membership development, services and retention in the regional six-county chamber. As the second largest chamber in California, the Metro Chamber has a mission of fostering regional economic prosperity while providing visibility, connections and resources for its members.

VP/Communications

Susan Henley Spreitzer has joined the AMASV Board after serving as volunteer editor for the AMASV Insider and assisting with the chapter's email communications during the 2005-2006 year. This year, Susan plans to make the Insider even more valuable to readers while she continues to fine-tune all of the chapter's communications including emails and printed pieces.
A Web designer working primarily with small businesses and not-for-profit organizations, Susan finds the Web to be a tremendous, enjoyable, creative outlet. Her focus is effective design that remains simple and affordable. She has more than 25 years of business experience including marketing, communications, and project management roles. VP/Corporate Support
Brian Steacy leads AMASV sponsor relationship activities including corporate partnerships and affiliations. His goal is to recruit, retain and develop relationships with leading marketers at local companies for the benefit of the chapter and its members.
Brian is the Northern California Business Development Manager for ExactTarget, a leading solutions provider for permission-based email marketing. Brian has been a sales and marketing professional for over 20 years, working with companies both large and small. The core of Brian's career is producing information technology sales for fast growth companies, such as Sun Microsystems. He is a graduate of UC Berkeley, the two-year Business Professional's Course, and he completed eight years of advanced work in the Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Power (LEIP) program offered by The Aji Network. Brian and his wife, Julie, have been married for over 17 years. They have one 14-year old daughter, Millie. Brian can be regularly seen cycling along the American River Parkway.

VP/Membership
Amira Menoufy guides our membership recruitment and retention programs, and maintains our AMASV database in conjunction with AMA International Headquarters in Chicago. She works closely with other board members to ensure AMASV member satisfaction.
Amira has been managing Marketing and PR for Delegata, a technology consulting and systems integration firm, since February 2002. Her responsibilities include corporate communications, branding, tradeshows, seminars, collateral, press releases, Web site, awards, public relations, presentations and community events. Prior to her move to Sacramento, she managed various sales development and marketing projects in the Bay Area at Lucent Technologies, BroadVision and Siebel Systems.
In her spare time, Amira enjoys working out, traveling, reading and planning events for her friends and family.

VP/Finance
Dawn Morley Chavero oversees AMASV's budgets and processes all items requiring payment. She is responsible for keeping accurate bookkeeping records for the chapter and reports on financials monthly.
Dawn is Founder and Principal of Aurora Research Group, a public opinion and marketing research firm, conducting both quantitative and qualitative research for strategic planning and decision-making purposes. Aurora Research Group customizes its research to meet individual client objectives by bringing together teams of researchers with the specific expertise required to best serve each client's needs.
In her spare time, Dawn enjoys traveling, scrapbooks, yoga and spending time with her family.

VP/Publicity
Ray Young coordinates publicity and media relations for AMASV, making sure that all AMASV news and marketing articles hit the wire in a timely and newsworthy manner.
Ray is Senior Vice-President of Halldin Public Relations, drawing on his wide-ranging public relations and issues management experience to assist clients in communicating often-complicated information clearly and effectively to the media.
He lends his communication consulting expertise to global corporations like Merrill Lynch, and government agencies as well as technology start-ups. Over the past decade, Ray has handled client affairs in myriad industries, including technology, agriculture, securities, law, energy, housing, healthcare and education. Prior to joining Halldin Public Relations, Ray served as Deputy Press Secretary to 2002 California Gubernatorial Nominee Bill Simon.

Returning to our board for his second year, Kent Ferris maintains all administrative aspects of the AMASV Board, including accurately recording and distributing the minutes of Board meetings and overseeing board elections.
Kent is Senior Account Director of Envision Media. Kent has over 18 years of experience in the direct marketing arena, including direct mail, telesales, telemarketing, and email marketing. Prior to joining Envision Media, Kent worked for ExactTarget, one of the big three permission-based email vendors, as Strategic Partnerships Manager for the Western Region. Kent has also managed sales and marketing efforts for Konica Business Technologies and Rational Software, preceded by eight years as VP of Sales/CTO for PinPoint Marketing in Santa Clara, CA.

Serving on the AMASV Board of Directors for her second year, Jennifer Peterson is an account executive at Wallrich Landi Integrated Marketing Communications. Jennifer oversees the ongoing maintenance of the AMASV Web site.
Since 1990, Wallrich Landi has built a loyal clientele of business, government and non-profit organizations who value the firm's strategic approach and comprehensive in-house capabilities, spanning from message development through visual design and technical engineering. Project focus at Wallrich Landi includes branding, promotional literature, advertising, publications, Web sites and Web-based content management applications, a sampling of which is presented at www.wallrichlandi.com.
When she isn't overseeing projects at work, Jennifer can often be found running around McKinley Park or spending time with family and friends.

VP/Collegiate Relations
Lisa Monet Adda has joined the Board to help promote AMASV scholarship opportunities to students attending junior colleges and universities in Northern California. As a senior at Sacramento State, majoring in Communication Studies with a Public Relations concentration, Lisa has experience with the scholarship application process as the recipient of the:
- Stephan Brophy Memorial Scholarship, California State Information Officers Council (SIOC)
- 2006 Robert T. Forsyth Memorial Scholarship, California State University, Sacramento (CSUS)
- 2006 Future Leaders in Communication Scholarship, Sacramento Public Relations Association (SPRA)
As a member of the Board, Lisa looks forward to presenting informative and persuasive speeches to her fellow students about getting involved in AMASV events and applying for the upcoming scholarship award. She received her Associate’s degree in Communication Studies magna cum laude from Sacramento City College (SCC) as President of the Beta Eta Psi chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. Next year, as a member of the Epsilon Phi Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, National Communication Honors Society, Lisa will be the first person in her family to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree.
Lisa continues to gain experience in marketing, public relations, event planning, and freelance writing as she continues to develop her home-based business plan before applying for the EMBA program at CSUS. Lisa also works as a homemaker, who enjoys sewing, cooking, managing her homes, and writing short-stories and novels. Lisa and her husband enjoy ballroom dancing and advanced weight training and look forward to starting a family in the coming years.

Courtney Siegel
is an Account Executive specializing in New Business Development for the Sacramento Business Journal, the leading, weekly business news publication in the region. She focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with existing and future clients, in addition to working with companies to initiate and implement successful advertising campaigns to support them in reaching their goals.
In her spare time, Courtney enjoys playing sports, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
