That's the American Marketing Association (AMA) history in a nutshell. As professional societies of marketers go, it's the world's largest. The most comprehensive. And the only organization that provides direct benefits to marketers in both business and education, worldwide.
As Sacramento Valley's chapter of the AMA for the past thirty-plus years, we uphold the AMA International mission:
- To promote the education of our members;
- To assist in our member's personal and professional career development; and
- To advance the science and ethical practice of marketing disciplines.
But we really try not to take ourselves too seriously in the process. The "unofficial" part of belonging to the AMA is what you'll appreciate.

Who is the AMASV?
The Sacramento Valley chapter of the AMA — the AMASV — is a fun, eclectic, accessible group made up of the Region's leading marketing influencers and top opinion leaders. We've been around for over 30 years in Sacramento, and currently have over 200 registered members.
We meet monthly for lunch, networking, and an extraordinary program at the Hilton Hotel in Sacramento, and have numerous special events throughout the year. New faces are always welcome — why don't you join us?
